Here’s a draft to get you started:
If we are going to live so intimately with these chemicals eating and drinking them, taking them into the very marrow of our bones – we had better know something about their nature and their power.
When Rachel Carson wrote those words over sixty years ago, she was sounding an early alarm. Since then, the chemical landscape has expanded exponentially, with an estimated 100,000 synthetic compounds now in global circulation. The scientific research is now undeniable: these pervasive environmental toxins impact human health in profound, systemic ways — poisoning cells, disrupting vital biological functions, impairing the immune system, altering brain chemistry, and driving the rise in chronic conditions like cancer, Parkinson’s disease, and childhood developmental delays.
Fortunately, the human body possesses an incredible capacity to heal, restore, and thrive when given the appropriate support. Knowledge is our greatest leverage. This intensive 3-hour workshop pulls back the curtain on how these modern toxins silently enter our systems and equips you with the exact strategies needed to intercept them. Join us to cut through the marketing noise, look clearly at the data, and walk away with a practical, step-by-step blueprint to clean up your environment and protect your health.

Q&A Template
Is this really a science-based and solutions-oriented workshop or is it just alarmist fear-mongering?
This is strictly a science-based educational workshop. We cut through the sensationalized media headlines and standard marketing hype to focus entirely on the data. Our goal is to ground you in facts, not fear, so you can make balanced, rational
choices for your health. While we look honestly at the realities of modern chemical circulation, we refuse to leave you feeling overwhelmed. The core focus of the course is dedicated to actionable next steps. You will leave with a practical, step-by-step blueprint detailing exactly how to identify, intercept, and eliminate exposure pathways in your daily life.
Are the research references peer-reviewed and verifiable?
Yes, absolutely. We draw from a broad, well-established body of research spanning decades of environmental toxicology, epidemiology, and cellular biology. Every single research paper and study mentioned in this workshop will be clearly cited and linked in your handouts so you can easily verify the data for yourself.
The full lesson covers these additional questions:
I’m familiar with toxins in conventional food and plastics. Do I really need to know much more than that?
I am not a scientist. Will the vocabulary be too dense for me?
Do you advocate for extreme or expensive detox protocols?
Is there a hidden agenda? Are you selling supplements, filters, or specific products?
What happens if I register but cannot attend the live session?
Workshop Blueprint
The Science of Toxins: A Clear-Eyed Look at the Research + Simple Steps to Support Your Body
Welcome, Grounding (0:00 – 0:10)
Framing — Our goal today is to leave the noise and fear of marketing and influencer hype behind and focus in on the clarity and empowerment gained from a clear-eyed look at the evidence. Armed with objective knowledge, we unlock the power to make highly impactful health choices.
Grounding Somatic Practice — Breathwork and visualization to help participants fully arrive, regulate their nervous systems, and settle in.
Introductions (0:10 – 0:25)
Circle: Participant Introductions — Introduction to the group, intention for attending, what they hope to take away
Block 1: Core Science (0:25 – 0:55)
Scientific Vocabulary — Decoding the exact definitions and mechanics of critical industry terms: toxic / toxin / environmental toxin, xenobiotic, chemicals / industrial chemicals, synthetic, artificial, pollutants, cytoxicity, carcinogen, neurotoxin, bioaccumulation, EDCs, BHA, BHT, BPA, glyphosate, heavy metals, microplastics, mycotoxins, oxidative stress, detoxification, etc.
The Systemic Impact — Understanding that optimal health depends entirely on a well-functioning immune system, and how chronic exposure to environmental toxins overburdens, dysregulates, and disrupts cellular function by creating an excess of oxidative stress.
The Evidence — A guided review of landmark research summaries mapping clear links between cumulative toxic load and systemic harm to human health.
Somatic Integration, Movement (0:55 – 1:10)
Conscious Movement, Somatic Practice — A guided physical practice to move the body, increase circulation, and stimulate lymphatic drainage. To stimulate lymph flow while teaching about the lymphatic system, consider tapping the six key points of lymph drainage and/or facilitating flowing, dance-like movements.
Block 2: Sourcing & Intercepting Toxins (1:10 – 1:55)
The Toxic Deluge — The history and reality behind the unchecked rise of synthetic chemicals in our daily environment.
Pervasive Modern Exposures — Includes heavy metals, persistent pesticides (specifically glyphosate), microplastics, fluoride, and endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs).
Two Types of Actions: The two primary ways to support the body’s detoxification are to: 1) Reduce exposure to toxins, and 2) Support the body in detoxifying. Today our focus is on the first: intercepting external toxins before they ever cross the threshold into the body.
Intercepting the Inflow: Map eleven primary entry pathways through which toxins infiltrate the human system, paired with actionable interventions to stop them This includes eating organic, seeking BPA-free food containers, filtering tap water, and eliminating synthetic fragrances including candles made of artificial ingredients, for example.
Block 3: Breakout Discussions & Application (1:55 – 2:30)
Partner or Small Group Breakouts — Discuss the most common, prominent sources of toxins in your life, and identify one or two immediate, high-impact exposure pathways you can eliminate.
Block 4: Full Group Reflection (2:30 – 2:45)
Full Group Reflection — A facilitated open forum to share breakout insights, unpack collective findings, clarify scientific concepts, and discuss implementation strategies.
Integration & Closing (2:45 – 3:00)
Anchoring the Work — A structured grounding practice to integrate the day’s dense data, complete the circle, and close the workshop with a sense of collective empowerment.
Resources
Toxins in a Nutshell — Understand the widespread presence of toxins and how toxic accumulation affects the body’s physiology, immune function, and overall health.
Man-Made Poisons — Critically evaluate documented regulatory failure and policy gaps in environmental protection agencies, establishing a framework for informed action.
Immune, Lymph & Microbiome — Understand the foundational anatomy and physiology of the immune system (including the lymphatic system and microbiome) plus the significance of psychoneuroimmunology.
Oxidative Stress & Detoxification — Understand the condition and implications of oxidative stress, how the body naturally removes waste and toxins from the body, and how to support the body in detoxification.
Immunity & Yoga — Be familiar with the published research and general ways in which yoga impacts immunity, plus teaching considerations to promote immune and lymphatic system health.
Ultra-Processed Foods (lesson) — Be prepared to cite research on UPFs, junk food, fast food, energy drinks, diet drinks, and fake/lab-grown foods demonstrating that they provoke overeating and addiction and cause devastating harm including anxiety, depression, diabetes, heart disease, liver disease, cancer, suicidal thoughts in children, and death.
Ultra-Processed Foods (handout for distribution) — Handouts include links for all supporting research and source material. 23-page PDF. Features: Terminology. Foundational facts. Composition, effects of processing, examples of UPFs. Addictive qualities and environmental triggers. Research on increased depression, chronic disease, and death.
