What you probably need is a concise slide deck that highlights key research findings from multiple categories of health & disease—something you can use to promote classes, workshops & consultations.
That type of slide deck would also be easy to incorporate into presentations of all kinds, helping to ground your work in solid, evidence-based results.
Dear friends and colleagues,
In a recent newsletter, I suggested that research on yoga and other non-pharmaceutical interventions is enormously significant. I proposed that evidence plays a crucial role in inspiring commitment among both clients and providers. Have you found this to be true in your own life and work?
Whatever your answer, I invite you to read on — and then hit reply or leave a comment below. I’d really value hearing your thoughts.
When a cancer or osteoporosis patient can see how practices like yoga affect her physiology and biology—not just how they make her feel—she’s more likely to commit to that twice-weekly class.
And when providers are given the opportunity to easily focus on evidence in context, they’re more likely to actively recommend and meaningfully integrate yoga and other interventions into their work with clients.
Let’s Address Real-World Needs — Right Now
Are you confidently integrating verifiable evidence into your work?
Have you found that awareness of published research on non-pharmaceutical interventions makes a meaningful difference to your students and clients?
From your experience, what helps to make evidence a compelling aspect of decision-making and behavior change?
I recently had an ah-ha moment: this type of life-changing knowledge is far more likely to be shared and received when it’s not only well-organized and verifiable, but also visually engaging and punchy.
Do you think we’ve hit the mark? Do you have any suggestions?
We started creating the slides using the same organizational structure we use on our site.
The studies are categorized by impact—such as research involving arthritis patients, studies examining changes in blood pressure, and effects on brain physiology and cognition.
I believe this structure is important for context, impact, and credibility. It helps you build trust when you can show that benefits are not being overstated but are actually grounded in evidence drawn from dozens of studies and hundreds or thousands of participants over several decades.
Key Tool for Sales & Marketing, Workshops, Consultations
Still, I realized there’s something even more crucial. What you probably need is a concise slide deck that highlights key findings from multiple health and disease categories — something you can use to promote classes, workshops and consultations.
That type of slide deck would also be easy to incorporate into presentations of all kinds, helping to ground your material in solid, evidence-based results.
So I chose five universally important categories and selected five studies from each, totaling 25 studies.
Each slide has a screenshot from a publication plus a URL to the original research and a brief summary of results.
Do You Need Other Subjects?
The truth is, those five categories are just a small sample of what we could share. I’m thinking about creating another highlight deck using different categories. Arguably, some of the most compelling research is the impact of yoga on specific conditions like asthma, seizures, headaches, MS, and Parkinson’s disease.
But here’s the thing: if I’m behind a screen making slides and they’re not being put to use, my efforts won’t be sustainable, and we won’t be engaged in making meaningful change together. Would you be willing to join (for as little as $19/month) to help support ongoing development of such tools?
Do you prefer slides on other interventions or by specific condition? I’d love to hear your priorities.
FYI, we already offer comprehensive slide decks for anxiety, bone health & osteoporosis, and immunity & autoimmunity. These are available to members and as workshop toolkits in our store. You can view samples here.
And in our Download Library we have many more slide decks beyond research that help you teach anatomy and physiology, breathing practices for stress, yoga poses, Ayurveda, sound and mantra techniques, and more.
If you’d use slides for other conditions or specific interventions — such as red light therapy, essential oils, nutrients, or other — please let me know.
We’re always grateful for feedback to optimize the materials we offer. And just a reminder that Associate and Trainer members can customize and brand the slides and hundreds of other resources to make them their own.

Clear, strategic, and very practitioner-centered.
